Rangji Temple
About Rangji Temple
Rangji Temple is one of the most architecturally distinctive temples in Pushkar, dedicated to Lord Rangji who is considered an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Built in 1844, the temple is notable for its unusual fusion of South Indian Dravidian style, Rajput architecture, and Mughal influence. The tall gopuram entrance tower, which is characteristic of South Indian temple architecture, is highly visible from across Pushkar and makes the temple easy to spot. The interior has painted murals, carved pillars, and a large courtyard. The temple celebrates several South Indian-style festivals throughout the year that attract devotees from across Rajasthan.
