Balighai Beach

About 8 km from Puri on the scenic Puri-Konark Marine Drive, Balighai Beach is one of Odisha quietest and most pristine stretches of coastline. Framed by casuarina and eucalyptus trees at the mouth of the Nuanai River, the beach offers a calm alternative to the busier tourist areas. It is a nesting site for Olive Ridley sea turtles during December and January, and the adjacent Sea Turtle Research Centre and Balihirana Deer Sanctuary make it a rewarding stop for nature lovers.
