Meja Dam

A large reservoir set in lush surroundings about 50 km from Mirzapur, popular as a serene weekend picnic and nature retreat. The dam attracts significant migratory birdlife during winter, including Siberian cranes, drawing birdwatchers alongside leisure visitors. An irrigation department tourist bungalow near the site offers the option to stay overnight, making Meja Dam one of the few places in the district suited for an extended nature stay.
