Nalknad Palace

Built in 1792 by Doddavirarajendra, Nalknad Palace is a significant historical landmark located at the base of Tadiandamol Trek. This two-story structure is renowned for its intricate wood carvings and vibrant mural paintings that depict the royal heritage of the Kodava kings. Unlike grander monuments, this palace offers a quiet, atmospheric glimpse into the past, serving as a peaceful refuge that survived colonial conflicts amidst the dense Coorg jungles.
