Thirunakkara Arattu

Thirunakkara Arattu is an annual temple festival held at the Thirunakkara Mahadeva Temple in Kottayam, Kerala. In 2026, it is celebrated on 24 March and marks the conclusion of the temple’s annual festival. The highlight is the Arattu ceremony, where the deity is taken in a grand procession for a sacred ritual bath. The festival is also known for its vibrant cultural programs, traditional music, Kathakali performances, and beautifully illuminated temple premises, attracting devotees and visitors alike.
