Teej Festival

Teej is Jaipur's most beloved monsoon festival, celebrating the arrival of rains and the reunion of Goddess Parvati with Lord Shiva. Married women dress in green and red, adorn themselves with intricate mehndi, and swing on flower-decorated jhulas while singing folk songs. The grand procession through the walled city features decorated elephants, folk dancers, and tableaux, drawing thousands of visitors every year. Celebrated in Shravan (July-August), Teej captures Rajasthan's royal heritage and living folk traditions at their finest.
