Dree Festival

Dree Festival is the grandest celebration of the Apatani tribe of Arunachal Pradesh, held every year on July 5 in the scenic Ziro Valley. This agricultural festival is an offering of prayers to four principal deities, Tamu, Harniang, Metii, and Danyi, seeking protection from pests and a bountiful harvest. Marked by traditional Daminda dance, rice beer, community feasts, and elaborate rituals, Dree is a living showcase of Apatani culture and one of the Northeast's most captivating tribal celebrations.
